Community Events
We actively participate in various community events, aiming to bring people together and enhance the local area. These events offer a platform to connect and celebrate our shared community values.
Our Events can be Garden Gathers where Tasks are shared or Open Days for the Whole Community to Celebrate and Socialise
Benefits to the Community, Environment and Our Wildlife
Our events primarily focus on the promotion of New Town Action Group and our beloved gardens, raising awareness and encouraging community involvement. We strive to create enriching experiences for everyone involved.
Events can be Big or Small, for all Age groups and help to bring the Community Together
Sowing a Meadow
Lead by Colin, our Chairperson, The Meadow's Wild Flowering Area is prepared and sown helped by families throwing in seed bombs following a Garden Gather get together.
Caterpillars of the Cinnabar moth were introduced to the Ragwort in the meadow.
Everyone is Welcome to Our Teddy Bears Picnic Held at Selby Meadow on Saturday 22nd from 12.30 midday to 2.30pm
Bring the family and Favourite Bear, receive a warm welcome with a Free picnic for all Children under the age of 14. Adults can bring their own, or purchase refreshments from our tea and cake stall.
Free crafts and games to play, face painting, traditional fete stalls, local honey to purchase and entertainment provided by the Uckfield Ukulele Players .
Free Entry , Loo on Site .
